Greek life at BU is large and diverse. BU has approximately 800 potential new members that go ​through Panhellenic recruitment (spring 2024 numbers) so you need to stand out. While you can ​join without knowledge of the system, it is very difficult without some guidance.

BU is home to 9 Panhellenic Sororities that participate in spring primary recruitment.

BU has the Stacy Riddle Forum which is comprised of suites that are non-residential. Organizations utilize the ​space provided for chapter meetings, event space, academic space, leadership offices, and social time.

Recruitment does NOT start in August!
Sororities start looking at potential new members and making lists before they hit campus and you need to do your best to ​get on their radar as soon as you commit to BU!
At BU, Rec Letters are REQUIRED
Letters of recommendation and/or Recruitment Information Forms (RIFs) are essential to getting the recruitment team to ​know who you are. Even if you don’t know a member of the chapter, you still should obtain these. Reach out to older family ​members and friends who have attended college and their network. Ask teachers and coaches as well. You don’t know who ​may have been a member or knows someone.
GPA’s Matter
Your college GPA and transcript will help determine how many chapters you will be eligible to see each round. The minimum ​GPA to go through recruitment is a college 2.67 (fall semester) and a 2.0 (cumulative) if you are going through recruitment as ​an upperclassman to participate, but you will be limited on which organization may invite you back. Each chapter has its ​minimum and that will impact the number of choices you have to choose from.
Deadlines are critical!
Make sure you are keeping track of all the deadlines so things do not fall through the cracks!
August 1st, 2024, recruitment opens. Do NOT wait to get your materials together. You will be panicked and it will reflect in ​how you come off. You also must have your whole application packet ready to submit at the same time. There are NO chances ​to fix it later.
You need a Social Resume
This is not your mom’s resume. This is a reflection of your social and academic achievements. You are not applying for a job. ​This should highlight your character attributes. This is something SororitySuccessAcademy can assist in creating.
Take Your Video Seriously
This should be the truest you. You only get one shot to make that first impression to show the members your personality. Use ​this to your advantage. Make sure they remember you. SororitySuccessAcademy offers

Start collecting now! Do your best to get all the chapters you can. If you can’t get a specific organization, make sure to have a teacher/coach write a letter of your character.
You don’t need to be on social media, but if you have it, make sure it is cleaned up. And they WILL find your account no matter how far hidden you have it.
You need to make a great impression. Take your time and rehearse your video. You get one shot to make that first impression. Panhellenic has video prompts to help you answer.
